Four Thomasians elected to PPTA body for the term 2026-2027

Four academic staff of the Department of Physical Therapy were elected to the Philippine Physical Therapy Association, Inc. (PTPA) board for the year 2026-2027, announced on December 7, 2025.

Asst. Prof. Christian Rey D. Rimando, MSPT, took the helm as the president, while Ms. Arlene C. Chiong Maya, MSPT, was named the secretary. Rimando is UST Simbahayan’s Assistant Director.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Michael Jorge N. Peralta, MSc, MSPT, LlM, and Assoc. Prof. Anne Marie C. Aseron, MSPT, were elected Board of Directors. Peralta serves as the Executive Secretary for Intellectual Property and Research and the Manager of Innovation and Technology Support Office (ITSO). Aseron is the Dean of College of Rehabilitation Sciences.

They were elected during PPTA’s 61st founding anniversary.

PPTA was formed to promote excellence in Physical Therapy practice, education, and service.
